Status Update: Book is 1 Year Old

This will be an update on where I stand as an Indie Author. Should anyone actually be interested in that.

Before I go on, this won’t be a funny one, at all.

So where do I stand? Truthfully, as an author I’m not much better off than I was a year ago. I have a few more followers and the money I’ve made back was, enough to cover the cost of the coffee to write the first book.

The only thing I can do is, to keep going. I will write more books. I will do book signings.

And these signings will be not necessarily to get sales but to get my name out there.

But I can’t help but wonder, is an old book worthy of a signing?

Another question, why did I feel a need to share my “status” as a writer?

Frankly, because I needed my book to take off. I had such high hopes for it. I have student loans to pay, I have kids, food needs to be put on the table, and I wanted to live the life that I think someone should live at my educational level. So I convinced myself that this book would take off because if it did, then my life would begin to make sense…surely things are about to change and I need to keep everyone updated…or so I thought.

So my status is: still just another indie author, trying to make it. But the good news is, I’m also just another indie author, who never gives up.
